Botai Chemical operates two major R&D centers and advanced application laboratories in Zhengzhou and Puyang, China. Equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, our R&D network supports the full journey from formulation design and pilot-scale trials to industrial application testing, ensuring consistent product performance across different markets and jobsite conditions.
Our multidisciplinary team of chemists and application engineers focuses on construction chemical additives for dry-mix mortars, concrete, gypsum, coatings, waterproofing, and related systems. By combining deep material science expertise with real-world application knowledge, we help customers solve practical challenges such as workability, setting time, adhesion, and durability.

Formulation Design
Tailor-made polymer and cellulose ether solutions for specific applications, including tile adhesive, wall putty, skim coat, EIFS/ETICS, self-leveling underlayment, repair mortars, and waterproofing systems.
Performance Optimization
Systematic testing and fine-tuning of key parameters such as adhesion, open time, water retention, viscosity/rheology, slump retention, crack resistance, and long-term durability under realistic working conditions.
Sustainability by Design
Developing low-carbon, low-VOC and eco-friendly formulations, including VOC-free emulsions and high-efficiency additives that reduce cement consumption and improve the service life of structures.
Digital & Data-Driven R&D
Applying digital tools, data tracking, and standardized testing protocols to improve reproducibility, quality stability, and scalability from lab batches to full-scale production.
Testing, Simulation and Training Facilities
Both R&D centers are equipped with comprehensive testing facilities to evaluate product performance throughout the lifecycle of construction materials, including:
- Mortar performance and rheology analysis
- Adhesion strength, flexural and compressive strength testing
- Accelerated aging and environmental simulation (temperature, humidity, freeze–thaw, etc.)
- Microscopic structure observation and interface analysis between binders and substrates
In addition, our R&D bases also function as certified training centers for tile installers and application technicians, helping to promote standardized installation practices and correct usage of modern dry-mix mortars and additives in both domestic and overseas markets.
