What is Cement Render / Plaster?
Cement render (external) and cement plaster (internal) are cement-based mixtures applied to masonry, concrete, or brick walls to form a protective, decorative, or functional coating. A typical formulation includes cement, graded sand, water, and carefully selected additives to improve workability, adhesion, crack resistance, weather durability, and appearance.
Because render and plaster performance is highly sensitive to water retention, curing conditions, and substrate absorption, the right additive package is often the difference between a stable finish and recurring defects such as cracking, delamination, efflorescence, or weather erosion.

Common Challenges in Cement Render / Plaster
Contractors and builders often face issues such as:
- Cracking & shrinkage from rapid drying or insufficient flexibility
- Poor adhesion or peeling on smooth, aged, dusty, or low-absorption substrates
- Workability issues such as short open time, difficult troweling, or uneven thickness build
- Weather sensitivity including blistering, surface erosion, or freeze–thaw damage (exterior systems)
- Efflorescence (white salt deposits) affecting appearance and indicating moisture transport
- Slow curing or delayed strength development, especially in cold-weather construction

High-Performance Additives for Cement Render / Plaster
To help address these challenges, BOTAI provides a practical additive portfolio for interior and exterior render/plaster systems, including wet climates and fast-track schedules. Each product below is presented in the standard module format for quick evaluation.
VINNATE® Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP)
Function:
Improves bonding and flexibility in cement render/plaster to reduce delamination and cracking risk.
Core Advantages:
Helps enhance adhesion between coating and substrate, improves deformability, and supports more durable finishes—especially where thermal movement, minor substrate shift, or high-stress conditions are present (system dependent).

With suitable grade selection and formulation trials, these additives can help you achieve:
Improved crack resistance & flexibility for longer-lasting finishes (system dependent)
Stronger adhesion and reduced delamination risk on challenging substrates
Better workability: smoother troweling, easier thickness build, and a more stable working window
Faster early strength development for cold-weather or fast-track projects (system dependent)
Enhanced water resistance for exterior applications and reduced efflorescence tendency (system dependent)
More stable long-term durability under rain/freeze–thaw cycles depending on system design
Note: Results depend on cement type, sand grading, substrate absorption, thickness, weather conditions, and process control. Lab and pilot trials are recommended before scale-up.

FAQ
In many systems, VINNATE® RDP and VAMCELL® HPMC can be evaluated for lime or gypsum-modified formulations. Share your binder type and target workability/setting window, and we will recommend a suitable trial package.
Yes. For substrates prone to minor movement or where toughness and breathability are priorities, we can recommend flexible binder packages (e.g., polymer + suitable cellulose ether) and provide trial guidance based on your site conditions.
Yes. Samples can be arranged for lab screening and pilot evaluation. Tell us your target tests (workability, water retention, adhesion, crack resistance, water uptake/efflorescence) and we will prepare a suitable sample set.
Lead time depends on grade, order quantity, and shipping mode. Share your destination and required timeline and we will provide an updated schedule.
Yes. We provide grade selection support, trial guidance, and troubleshooting. For larger projects, we can also support training materials and application recommendations.
