Calforce ® Alkali-Resistant Glass Fiber For Concrete and Mortar Reinforcement

Glass Fibers belongs to inorganic mineral fiber. Because of the destructive effect of hydration products Ca(OH)2 in cement, not all of glass fibers could be used in cement based concrete, only alkali-resistant glass fibers specially developed to resist alkali corrosion can be used, engineered to reinforce against plastic, thermal and drying shrinkage cracking.

Key Benefits:

High Strength & Balanced Physical Properties-It has high strength, moderate modulus, small moisture absorption, good heat resistance and chemical resistance.

Strong Alkali Resistance-Strong alkali resistance performance.

Crack Control Performance-Control and prevent cracking in fresh and hard concrete and mortars.

Fast and Uniform Dispersion-Fast and uniform dispersion during blending.

Shrinkage Reduction-Reduce shrinkage and surface gloss.

Easy Application-Easy apply.

Product Advantages

  • Strong Alkali Resistance for Cement-Based Systems — Specially developed alkali-resistant glass fiber helps resist alkali corrosion in cement-based concrete and mortar systems.
  • Reliable Reinforcement Performance — With high strength and moderate modulus, it helps reinforce cementitious materials and improve overall system stability.
  • Effective Crack Control — Designed to help control and prevent plastic, thermal, and drying shrinkage cracking in both fresh and hardened concrete and mortars.
  • Easy and Uniform Dispersion — It disperses fast and uniformly during blending, helping support easier mixing and more consistent performance in use.
  • Good Durability-Related Properties — It features small moisture absorption together with good heat resistance and chemical resistance, making it suitable for demanding construction environments.
  • Suitable for Multiple Concrete Applications-It is suitable for commercial and industrial slabs-on-ground, compression layers, pavements, precast concrete, and other construction and transportation related uses.

Packaging & Delivery

  • Standard packaging: In 15Kg/20Kg PP woven bags with inner separate 1Kg small bag.
  • OEM or neutral packaging available upon request
  • Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ): 3 metric tons.
  • Typical lead time: 7–15 days after order confirmation
  • Trade terms: FOB / CIF / DDP under Incoterms® 2020

Storage and Shelf life

  • Store in a dry and cool place.
  • High humidity and temperature increase the risk of caking.
  • Do not stack pallets on top of each other to avoid compaction.
  • “Best use before end” date is on the label; storage beyond it doesn’t necessarily mean unusable, but required properties must be checked for quality assurance.

Safety & Compliance

Glass Fiber is safe, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. It complies with ISO 9001 and EU REACH standards.
